BOD is all about insane fun!

...but we do not tolerate cheaters or lamers.  If you are caught red-handed at cheating, or even just using unreasonably annoying player tactics on most servers, you could be banned for any amount of time.  And if you are in Team BOD you will most likely be made fun of, and then kicked out.  The news will get around and you will, in escence, ban yourself from the server/s, or whatever they want to do.  It is not uncommon for one to be banned from up to 10 servers all at one time.  We will do everything we can to help remove these losers from our midst.  There are supposedly undetectable cheats.  This is very sad, but is the nature of computers.  They do make the game very dull for those who had time to frag and a cheater decided to use their advantages on them.  My recommendation is don't let anyone treat you, or anyone else, this way.

Map size must be taken into consideration.  I mean come on, smaller maps like Carena, Sandslide, and others are 'Spawn Revenger' city baby!  Fun.

Also, record a demo if anyone constantly frags at the brink of corners with obvious aiming assistance.  If you run into an aiming bot, it will be pretty obvious.  If you think they are definitely using some kind of cheat, or being an outright offensive player who is out to antagonize, and you cannot get through to them, you can type: record <name> (whatever you want to call it, in the past, I've just typed 'record ooo' or ppp or whatever for speed, hehe) during the offensive behavior, in the console and push enter.  This will record the game, then proceed to share whatever guidelines with them and follow them around. =D  If you already know that they know how to be a cool player like the rest of us, but won't do it, then just don't say anything at all and record it.  Make sure you get a shot of everybody's ping in the demo recording during the offensive playing.  They cheat for a minute..then play normal..then do it again...then play normal..and so forth.  Then they can suddenly be gone.. trying to be all casual and everything.  You just never know how long they will be connected.  Send demos with serious cheaters to that server's admins. (And us too if it turns out to be a real cheater and you want to make fun of them, because we will if it is proven!:)

You must stop the recording by typing stop and push enter before the end of the map or fraglimit.  This is the only way I know how to do it. Then you'll have an actual recording of your view during the gameplay.  It will be a .dm2 file or a "demo" that is dumped in the quake2/lox/demos folder and can be replayed by simply double-clicking on it.  DemoPlay is an easy program to use to watch your demos.  Get DemoPlay [here]!  You just double click on the .dm2 demo you made to view your demo!  Of course, there is a setting in the r1Q2 client that can be set to record demos automatically each time you start playing.  Just remember to delete all the demos and log files you don't want anymore.  While we're on the subject of Q2 demos, send in yours today! (The regular, funny, honest kind:)

Also, instead of regular condumping, [like: condump whatever],
you can put this line in your autoexec.cfg file: set logfile "3" It's like a condump and it's there when you start Q2 again. You open it with a word program.  No need to remember to do a condump ever again.  The file created is 'qconsole.log' in the quake2/lox folder.  The log will have times and dates throughout.  It just keeps adding on where the last left off.  So, what you do, is simply delete the qconsole.log file every now and then when you know you dont need any of it to save wasting space.   I delete it about once a week.  There have been 3 people on our Team that myself and others have had to report :( and not even for cheating.  Those were mainly attitude problems, which, can be equally annoying in the community.  Everything stated here are my own, personal opinions resulting from the way people have done me since I started playing Q2 multiplayer.

I hope I've at least helped someone with a way to fight back with the above information.

 Thanks yall.
